Do You Need a Registered Yoga Teacher 200 hour (RYT200) Certification?
- Over the past decade or so, yoga has become increasingly popular. This
new desire for yoga practice has led established gyms to offer yoga classes
and has spurred the creation of new facilities and studios dedicated to
the practice of yoga. Most of these facilities require their yoga instructors
to be certified through the Registered Yoga Teacher 200-hour training
program. Yoga Shelter is accredited by Yoga Alliance, an organization
that oversees yoga teachers and studios across the nation, providing ratings
to reflect their credibility. As an accredited facility, we can guarantee
that all of our students who complete our training program will qualify
as certified yoga teachers.

- Our program is very hands-on and allows you to receive training in many
formats of yoga. Our program is certified and accredited by the industry
standard Yoga Alliance, a reputable non-profit organization. Students

- The Yoga Shelter facility is located in Southfield, MI, just a short 15-minute
drive from downtown Detroit. In addition to full access to our teacher
training facility, we also provide our yoga teacher training students
with free memberships to our Metro Detroit locations. These 6 facilities
are located in West Bloomfield, Royal Oak, Southfield, Rochester Hills,
and Grosse Pointe. All of our training facilities are state of the art,
and we offer training in a variety of yoga styles, including ashtanga,
vinyasa, slow flow and yin. Training also includes instruction on human
anatomy, physiology, and philosophy, all of which are integral to a well-rounded
yoga practice. Yoga Shelter also teaches key lessons on class theming
and how to create playlists for your yoga class. We also offer a retreat
for our yoga teachers in training,
- What Should I Expect After Completing My Training?
- After you have finished your teacher training, our brand manager will set
up a meeting with you to go over your goals. We hold these meetings so
that our manager can do what she can to help you with becoming a yoga
teacher once you receive your certification. If you are interested, can
provide you with your own mentor to assist you on your journey.
- How Much Does the Training Program Cost?
- One of our main goals at Yoga Shelter is to offer affordable training to
yoga instructor hopefuls. Students who are already members receive discounts
when they sign up for the yoga teacher training program, as do individuals
who pay in full, and those who register early. Remember, the cost of our
