and the right facility to learn in. At Yoga Shelter, we are pleased to
provide an uplifting environment for our Detroit yoga teacher training program.
- Why do you need an RYT 200 certification?
- Yoga is an ancient practice that has become increasingly more popular around
the world in the last decade and is being added to schedules at facilities
at a constantly increasing rate. As yoga spreads from studios to gyms
and other facilities more and more companies are requiring their teachers
to become certified Registered Yoga Teacher 200 hours training (RYT200)
before hiring them. Yoga studios and yoga teacher training programs in
the U.S. are overseen by Yoga Alliance; which lists all teachers and their
certifications. They also award studios and other facilities the honor
of being an accredited place to take yoga teacher training and become
certified. Yoga Shelter is a Yoga Alliance accredited facility and all
students who meet the requirements of our training program will be recognized
through the Yoga Alliance as a certified yoga teacher across the U.S!

- Our program is very hands on and allows you to receive training in many
formats of yoga. Our program is certified and accredited by the industry
standard Yoga Alliance, a reputable non-profit organization. Students
who go through our program will be recognized throughout the U.S. as a

- Not only will you receive a world class yoga teacher training experience
at our state of the art training facility located in Southfield, MI (15
min from downtown Detroit), but you will also receive a free membership
to all six of our Metro Detroit locations (West Bloomfield, Royal Oak,
Southfield, Rochester Hills, and Grosse Pointe) throughout the length
of your training with us! At Yoga Shelter you will receive training in
multiple yoga formats including ashtanga, vinyasa, slow flow and yin.
Our yoga teacher training will also cover anatomy and physiology, philosophy,
class theming and creating playlists for class among many other things.
Each yoga teacher training includes a retreat for the opportunity to get
away, relax and soak up all of the yoga knowledge you can handle. Yoga
Shelter provides a total experience that will allow you to connect with
your own practice and help you leave feeling confident to teach.
- What Can I Expect After Training?
- Before you have finished your certification, you will meet with our brand
manager. She can sit down with you to discuss your goals and how she will
be able to help after you have completed your training. If you are hoping
to become a yoga teacher, we can provide you with a mentor who can assist you.
- What is the Cost of Your Training Program?
- Our Oakland County yoga teacher training program is priced to be affordable.
We offer a number of discounts for students who are already a student,
those who pay in full, or those who register early. However, it is important
that you think of your course costs as an investment in your future.
